USPS Observes ‘National Slips, Trips, and Falls Prevention Week’
The US Postal Service is observing its first ever National Slips, Trips, and Falls Prevention Week to help prevent letter carrier injuries. Residents and businesses are asked to clear carrier paths of leaves, ice and snow, along with making sure doorways and porches are kept free of debris. Also keep animals away from carrier walking paths and don’t startle carriers. Nearly 19,000 postal carriers were hurt in 2018.
