Oneonta, NY—At their August meeting, the Board of Directors of the United Way of Delaware & Otsego Counties approved a special gift of $5,000 to restock the Salvation Army Food Pantry.

In the summer months demand for the food pantry’s services can spike dramatically. In July, the Oneonta Salvation Army’s Captain, Evelyn Hopping, expressed that supply levels at the food pantry were dangerously low.

To assist the pantry in providing non perishable food items to individuals and families in need, the United Way of Delaware & Otsego County Board of Directors unanimously approved a special one-time gift for the purpose of restocking the pantry’s supplies.
