United Way Announces Winner of Cheri Albrecht Award

Debra Marcus, who has been the Executive Director and then Chief Executive Officer of Family Planning of South Central New York for 29 years has been awarded the 2019 Cheri Albrecht award from the United Way of Delaware and Otsego Counties.

The Cheri Albrecht award, named in honor of Cheri Albrecht, is awarded to an Executive Director in recognition of their devotion of time and effort to be both a servant and leader in the Delaware and Otsego Counties’ non-profit communities.

Debra shared with the United Way, "Ensuring high quality health care and protecting reproductive justice have always been much more than a job to me; rather this has always seemed like my calling!"

There will be an awards presentation at the United Way's Campaign Kickoff on September 26th at J&D's Wagon Wheel in Oneonta.
