The ARC Otsego is holding two wonderful community events which are free and open to the public this Friday, June 20th in Oneonta, NY.  To start the evening, the Main View Gallery & Studio is holding an opening reception and  exhibit, “Together”, from 5-7 pm at 73 Main Street.  This exhibit features larger scale paintings and the collaborative sculpture “Phoenix.”  There will be refreshments, art for sale, and at 6 pm, a dramatic performance by Main View Gallery artists inspired by the witches’ scenes from Shakespeare’s Macbeth. The performance is directed by Carmela Marner, Artistic Director of Franklin Stage Company.

Below, listen in as Main View Gallery's Zena Gurbo provides more details on the art opening.

After the art opening enjoy the popular band Flame as they return to Oneonta for The Arc Otsego’s Summer Sizzle Dance. The dance, which is free and open to the public, will be held at Foothills Performing Arts Center from 7-9 pm. Refreshments will be served.  If you've never seen Flame, they are AMAZING!   The group's goal is to help change the world for people with disabilities through music. The band, which has released five CD’s and has been featured on Good Morning America and in People magazine, is part of Lexington Center, Fulton County Chapter, NYSARC, Inc.
