
Tri-County COVID-19 Cases And Vaccine Update March 23
Looking at COVID-19 case numbers reported by The Otsego County Department of Health (3/21): there were 12 new confirmed cases Sunday with 9 people currently hospitalized with complications from the virus. There are currently 166 known active cases in the county with a total of 54 COVID-19 related deaths. The Health Dept. has a COVID-19 dashboard with daily updates for the latest information.

There is a New York State and Bassett Healthcare mass vaccination site at SUNY Oneonta for anyone currently eligible. Governor Cuomo announced that starting today (3/23) anyone 50 and older is now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Delaware County Health officials have an update from yesterday (3/22), reporting 32 new cases yesterday. There are 115 active and there are 6 people hospitalized. The COVID-19 Vaccination Hotline is open 7AM - 10PM, 7 days week, to help New Yorkers determine if they are eligible and schedule vaccination appointments.
In Chenango County, the health department reported new COVID-19 stats for 3/22 on their facebook page. At that time, the health department was reporting 90 active cases, 8 hospitalizations related to the virus, and the total number of deaths related to COVID-19 complications are currently at 64. There will be a Moderna vaccine clinic held at the former Label Shopper Store location in the South Plaza Center - 5640 RT-12 Norwich, NY 13815- appointments are required for THURSDAY MARCH 25. REGISTER HERE for the clinic. Visit www.co.chenango.ny.us/public-health to register for future clinics.
