They're a tiny group with big aspirations. I'm talking about Oneonta Girl Scout Troop 60670, lead by scout leader MaryKate Tuohy Dickson. This small troop is made up of 3 friends: Skylar McBride, Holly Beitzel, and Bridget Dickson who all have been attending different elementary schools in the district but only get to see each other through their troop meetings (mostly virtual) and in the fall are excited to attend 6th grade at the Oneonta Middle School together.

In a big effort to get their "Bronze" badge, the three girls have come up with a project idea that will literally make Oneonta history! Because they understand what an impact the coronavirus pandemic has had on us all, themselves included, the girls wanted to create an Oneonta community COVID-19 Yearbook from 2020, including thoughts and observations from community residents on that incredibly impactful time and how it personally affected them.

Oneonta and other area residents from nearby communities who wish to participate are asked to fill out a simple form (pictured below).

From all the responses from participating community members, a yearbook will be put together with the intention of presenting it to the Greater Oneonta Historical Society (GOHS) for public viewing so keep in mind that any information you provide will be public. These girl scouts intend to present the COVID-19 Yearbook to GOHS early in September so they are asking for a quick response from Oneonta residents willing to fill out the form for the yearbook. You may fill this out as an individual or as a family. To access the form CLICK HERE.

To submit the form, you can take a photo of it and send it electronically to the Troop 60670 Yearbook Project Facebook page, or you can mail your completed form to:
