The Oneonta Family YMCA invites area residents to come and enjoy the pool in Wilber Park

There are public places you must avoid for public health until further notice

The Oneonta Family YMCA announced that beginning on Monday, July 9, the baby pool section of Briggs Pool in Wilber Park is being closed for service.

One of my favorite Oneonta parks, Wilber Park has just gotten better.

If you've been through the lower level of Wilber Park in Oneonta and noticed that the Wilber Pool bathhouse looks like it's undergoing some major renovations, then you're right.

There's no shortage of parks right here in Oneonta to enjoy the great outdoors so what are you waiting for?

An annual fun, free, Fall, family event is coming up October 18th from 11am to 4pm in the upper level of Wilber Park in Oneonta - Pumpkins In The Park, to benefit the St. Mary's food pantry.

The Schenevus Foundation for Excellence in Education is hosting the first annual Dragon Run 5K Trail Run and Hike on Sunday, October 19, 2014.

Yesterday, I was walking through Wilber Park and ended up at the Oneonta Water Treatment facility, next to the High School.  Much to my surprise, I was greeted by a pair of giant backhoes which had carved a large swath down the hill from the plant and right down into Wilber Park...

I love it when fun and a good cause come together and that is certainly the case with the "Pumpkins-in-the-Park" event this Saturday, October 19th in the upper level of Wilber Park in Oneonta, NY (park in lower level).  I have enjoyed this family fundraiser many times with my kids and highly recommend it for very inexpensive Fall family fun.
