The New York State Fair will allow visitors to smoke marijuana at the fair despite a recent ban from Governor Kathy Hochul on smoking anything in public parks.
According to a news release issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, about 80 percent of U.S. Adults have voluntary smoke free rules at home and 75 percent had voluntary smoke-free rules in their vehicles.
Smokers will have a bit of a reprieve when lighting up in certain regions of New York State’s parks.
The Parks Department declared a number of smoke-free areas around places where children gather, including playgrounds and pools back in April.
