Rickey Charles Goodrich, the accountant who lost his job as the chief financial officer for Pearl Jam's management company after the band discovered hundreds of thousands of dollars missing from its coffers, has been sentenced to serve 14 months in prison.

Pearl Jam are now in the homestretch of recording their next album and guitarist Mike McCready has some hefty expectations for what's to come. He told Seattle's KIRO Radio that he foresees the still untitled disc as being "way better than 'Backspacer.''

Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder is an avid baseball fan and is usually up for meeting up with players who make their living playing the game. Recently that led Vedder to hanging out with members of the Minnesota Twins baseball team and pitcher Jared Burton now has an experience he'll never forget.

A mass of hard-hitting rock bands took to the Chilean installment of Lollapalooza 2013, boasting brilliant performances and insane jam sessions. Not only did Pearl Jam and Queens of the Stone Age deliver full sets, but members of each act joined their respective counterparts for some Pearl / Queens collaborations in front of the 70,000-person crowd.

Seattle will be well represented whenever Heart enters the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next month. It was previously revealed that Soundgarden's Chris Cornell would induct the classic rock band, and now it has been announced that fellow Seattle music vets Jerry Cantrell from Alice in Chains and guitarist Mike McCready from Pearl Jam will perform with Heart at the induction ceremony.

Incubus guitarist Mike Einziger has moved to clear up some confusion started with one of his recent online tweets. The musician reveals in a pair of new comments that he is not, in fact, making a guest appearance on the next Pearl Jam record.

Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, Duff Mckagan of Guns N' Roses and Barrett Martin of the Screaming Trees have formed three-fourths of a rock supergroup that will rely on a cast of vocalists to finish their debut album. As of now, the group doesn't have a name but that hasn't dammed their inspiration.

While Pearl Jam have been taking their time with new music, it appears as though the immediacy of generating new music is starting to ramp up for the band. Guitarist Mike McCready tells Rolling Stone that the group hopes to have their next album out "this year, for sure."

Pearl Jam's 'Ten' album had already achieved diamond certification for shipping more than 10 million copies, but the landmark record has now officially sold more than 10 million copies.

Might there be some new album progress in the Pearl Jam camp? Bassist Jeff Ament revealed that the group did recently meet with producer Brendan O'Brien, which may be a sign the band is ready to resume work on their long-awaited follow-up to the 2009 effort, 'Backspacer.'
