The Oneonta Salvation Army is looking for donations of food and toys for local families in need for the 2021 holiday season.

This Angel Tree Program is in its 99th year

Otsego and Delaware County residents in need of Christmas assistance are getting one final chance for help this year on Tuesday, November 13 from the Oneonta Salvation Army.

It seems too early to think about the holiday season but not when it comes to planning to serve area families in need so that children can have a wonderful Christmas.

Yesterday on The Salvation Army Oneonta NY facebook page, a message was posted to area residents:

When we think of summer, we think of sunshine, swimming and family fun.  We don't think about filling up local food pantries since we're too busy concentrating on everything else.  That's the very reason the Oneonta Salvation Army food pantry is extremely low and in need of restocking.  Last month they assisted close to 250 families.  With school being out of session, the demand on the food pantry
