Main Street Oneonta

Did you know that Fabulous Friday in Downtown Oneonta is now twice a month?  It happens on every first and third Friday of the month from 5pm to 8pm, ending the first Friday of October.

The first Fabulous Friday is tonight from 6 to 8pm (some activities start at 5pm) in Downtown Oneonta and sponsored by Main Street Oneonta. This free event features the enjoyment of music, art, and culture in Downtown Oneonta.

The weekend holiday fun kicks off at 4pm today with Santa visiting with children in his cottage in the Plaza, in Downtown Oneonta.  He'll be there until 6pm so bring your gift wish list.  But wait, there's more...

Every year Main Street Oneonta sponsors a Gingerbread contest with a different theme and this year it was a fairy theme which inspired some incredible creations.  Here are your Gingerbread Winners for 2013:

Don't miss a free opportunity to see one of my all time favorite Christmas movies on the big screen at the Oneonta Theatre this Saturday, December 7th at 11am, "The Christmas Story".  You get to see this movie free thanks to Main Street Oneonta and the Oneonta Theatre.

If you're not in the holiday spirit yet, we've got just the cure: The Oneonta Tree Lighting Ceremony, this Thursday, December 5th from 5pm to 8pm in Downtown Oneonta.

My family and I attended the Oneonta Holiday parade on Saturday, through Downtown Oneonta and loved it! A large crowd turned out to witness the fun event and welcome Santa to town.

The first cash mob ever comes to Main Street Oneonta on Tuesday afternoon. Mike Kleszczewski organized the event and explained what is a cash mob and how it helps local businesses.
