The State Labor Department has released local area unemployment rates for November 2012. Compared to November 2011 Otsego County stayed the same in November 2012 at 7.3 percent. Chenango County also stayed flat, posting a 7.9 percent unemployment rate last month.

State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli said Wednesday the cash report tax collections through November was $39.2 billion, which is $163.4 million below the state’s estimates. The cash report, which was updated last month, was also $702.4 million below initial estimates in April.
