Bowhunters are being asked to be on the lookout for whitetail deer that may have died due to a disease that has been found in the area. The state DEC is trying to find out if the disease is spreading throughout the whitetail deer population in the Capital Region.
Many of you have probably had a run in, literally, with a deer or some other animal while driving down the road. In 2019 New York State saw the highest number of animal crashes in the last decade.
This morning as I was shivering in my car on my very short commute in to work, I came across a group of deer on Dietz Street in Oneonta, scrounging for a meager meal in people's yards.
