Cooperstown Fire Department

Firefighters must have done a great job quickly extinguishing the flames since the damage was not visible by looking at the exterior of the building that same morning.

The Cooperstown and Hartwick Seminary Fire Departments responded to the scene with assistance from the Cooperstown Police Department and the New York State Police.

The hospitalized firefighters were given a hero’s welcome home

A quick response saved the building from any damage.
