Responding to an emergency plea from the Animal Care Center of NYC's Staten Island animal shelter, the Susquehanna SPCA (SQSPCA) opened their hearts and animal shelter on Rt. 28 just outside of Cooperstown to 10 cats that the Staten Island shelter could no longer care for due heating issues.

According to SQSPCA's Executive Director Stacie Haynes, the cats were already spayed or neutered when they arrived so they fit right in socially with the SQSPCA's other cats at the shelter. For anyone interesting in cat adoption or dogs available, visit sqspca.org. To schedule an appointment to adopt, call the shelter at (607) 547-8111.
