Susquehanna SPCA Surpasses Its Capital Matching Goal
The Susquehanna SPCA announces it has more than met its goal for a $100,000 matching contribution from the C.J. Heilig Foundation. The challenge was made last month and called for the shelter to raise at least $100,000 but the total turned out to be just under $130,000. The total will go toward the SHELTER US capital campaign which is funding construction of a new facility on State Route 28 north of their current location which is expected to open next summer.
This is good news for the dogs and cats that the animal shelters, considering the current building once again had water issues following the heavy rain on October 31. The photos below were taken on November 1 at the shelter.
