Last Thursday, the SUNY Oneonta community logged 10,265,959 yards during the fourth annual Yards for Yeardley event, breaking last year's record by more than 7,000,000 yards. The event, in support of the One Love Foundation, was part of NCAA Division III Week.

Participants in the Yards for Yeardley event are asked to move in some way, whether that's in the form of walking, running, dancing, biking, etc., while maintaining a safe social distance from others and fundraise through getting pledges from people.

The mission of the One Love Foundation is to educate young adults about healthy and unhealthy relationships, empowering them to identify and avoid abuse and learn how to love better.

According to SUNY Oneonta, "1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men will experience relationship violence in their lifetime. Nearly 50% of these woman and nearly 40% of these men experience relationship violence for the first time between the ages of 18 and 24."
