New York State Police will soon be adding drones to its arsenal of law enforcement gear. According to Governor Cuomo's office, 18 new unmanned aircraft are being deployed across New York State with the first four drones going into service this month. The drones will assist troopers in disaster response, traffic safety, crime scene photography and other tasks. The drones are bring paid for by the New York State Trooper Foundation, a charity that raises private funds for State Police training and equipment.
