Three Oneonta residents were arrested for drug possession after a search warrant was issued at 14 1/2 River Street. The City of Oneonta Police Department Special Response Team with assistance from the Otsego County Sheriff’s Department conducted the search as part of an ongoing investigation in drug trafficking.

The search warrant was signed by Oneonta City Court Judge Bernier.

Arrested were 24-year-old Chad Trombley, 26-year-old Kevin Vecchione and 26-year-old Tara McMullen.

All were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a Class B felony, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, a Class D felony.

Trombley was also charged with tampering with physical evidence, a Class E felony, while McMullen was also charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a Class D felony.

All subjects have been arraigned in the City of Oneonta Court and remanded to the Otsego County correctional facility to appear at a later date.

If convicted, Trombley faces up to 13 years in prison; Vecchione faces up to 11 years in prison, and McMullen could get 15 years in prison.
