State Police in Cobleskill have arrested a Richmondville man for assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

The incident occurred around 3:30 am at an address on State Route 7 in the Town of Richmondville. The victim and her children left the residence and reported the incident to State Police. Zachary Foland was arrested when he turned himself into the State Police later the same day.

Foland was charged with assault in the 3rd degree, criminal obstruction of breathing, and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned in the Town of Richmondville Court and remanded to the Schoharie County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
