Scenes For ‘The Automatic Hate’ to be Filmed in Oneonta

Scenes for the Hollywood film "The Automatic Hate" are to be filmed in Oneonta on Tuesday and Sept. 15.  Parts of Dietz Street (near Main), will be closed during filming.

The venue for the filming will be Transitions Boutique clothing store at 4 Dietz Street. Owner Cindy Staffin tells the story on her Facebook page, saying that the producers have set the film in Boston and that the winding brick building-lined Dietz Street looks like Boston. The film will star Lesley Ann Warren.

IMDB, a website which details film particulars, notes that the film, due out in 2015, will also use locations in Mount Vision and Cooperstown, N.Y. No specifics are given, however.

Which actors will be in Oneonta has not been released.

UPDATE: Lesley Ann Warren, who we previously reported was cast in the film, is no longer in the movie. Her role is currently being recast.
