City of Oneonta Police are looking for a burglar suspect who robbed two convenient stores early this morning.  According to City Oneonta Police, an attempted robbery at around 1:20 a.m. took place at the KwikFill gas station at 66 Chestnut Street.  A male described as about 5'5" and ranging from 170 to 200 lbs. entered the store and tried to grab money from the open cash register drawer. The clerk, while attempting to stop the suspect, suffered a small stab wound from the perpetrator, who then fled the scene. The clerk was taken by ambulance to A.O. Fox Hospital, treated and released.

Then later this morning at 6:20 a.m., police responded to another robbery, this time at Taylors Gas station at 472 Main Street. Again, when officers arrived at the scene, the suspect had already fled the scene after taking an unspecified amount of money. The description of the perpetrator who had a weapon, was similar to the first robbery this morning. Fortunately, no one was injured during the second incident.
