RNs Now Required To Obtain Bachelor’s Degrees
Those wanting to become a registered nurse in New York State will now be required to earn a bachelor’s degree following a bill signed into law by Governor Cuomo. The ordinance requires obtaining the degree within 10 years of becoming an R.N. but it’s possible to obtain an extension to that deadline in cases of hardship. Those who are currently RNs or are in nursing school are exempt from the degree requirements.
