According to the Otsego County Department of Health, a possible COVID-19 exposure was reported by the department to have occurred on January 21, from 6:00 p.m. to closing time at the Red Jug Pub at 195 S. Main St. in Oneonta. Those who were there at that time should monitor for symptoms. Should symptoms develop, get tested for COVID-19 and self quarantine immediately.

Now, an update on where the case numbers currently stand. The Otsego County Department of Health reported yesterday (1/25) that there were 21 new confirmed cases with 16 people currently hospitalized with complications from the virus.  There are currently 238 known active cases in the county with a new total of 27 COVID-19 related deaths, with 1 new death yesterday. The Health Dept. has a COVID-19 dashboard with daily updates for the latest information.

Delaware County Health officials have an update from yesterday (1/25), reporting 31 new cases yesterday with 177 active and there are 19 people hospitalized. There are now a total of 32 deaths related to coronavirus complications. Go to to access the Delaware County Public Health COVID-19 dashboard.

In Chenango County, the health department's last update was provided on 1/25 on their facebook page. At that time, there were 239 active cases, 22 hospitalizations related to the virus, and a total of 35 deaths related to COVID-19 complications. Updates will be provided when available.
