The Otsego County Department of Health reports a potential COVID 19 exposure at the Copper Fox at 7 Market St. in Oneonta, some time November 12th through November 17th. If you were there on any of those dates, health officials recommend that you  monitor yourself for any symptoms of illness which can be very mild. If ANY symptoms whatsoever arise, get tested for COVID-19 and isolate yourself until you find out the test results. The Copper Fox is closed for a minimum of 7 days and all staff will be tested.

Yesterday's Otsego County coronavirus report revealed that there were 14 new cases Thursday. There are currently 75 active cases in the county. Contact tracing is underway. If you are contacted, your caller ID will say "contact tracing". It is very important to respond to these calls. In the meantime, health officials are urging all residents to do the following to slow the spread of the virus:

  • Remember, stay home if you are sick
  • Wear a mask
  • Wash your hands frequently
  • Practice social distancing
  • Limit social gatherings to less than 10 people or those who live in your house

Please remember symptoms of COVID can be very mild, such as congestion
headache or runny nose. If you develop any symptoms please get tested
isolate yourself and do not go to work.
