So get ready to cringe.  You've either experienced personal grooming accidents in very delicate areas, or can empathize with those you have.  Staggering statistics have just been released scientists at the University of California, San Francisco. It turns out that pubic hair grooming injuries have jumped five-fold between 2002 and 2010. Yikes!  A recent analysis of ER visits by scientists showed that there were an estimated 2,500 grooming injuries in 2010. I bet you're wondering what kind of injuries?  On that list were cuts, burns (say what?), gashes and rashes that required emergency medical attention. Here's a bit more for you:

- of all the injuries reported: 57% were women, 43% were men.
- Shaving razors were responsible for 83% of the incidents
- Scissors accounted for almost 22% of the injuries (watch where you're putting those things!)
- Hot wax led to 1.4% of mishaps (burn baby burn!)
