The Otsego County Department of Health reported yesterday a 7th death from coronavirus-related complications has taken place. No information was provided on the individual’s gender, age or residency other than to say the death was not linked to the COVID-19 outbreak at SUNY Oneonta. It is the first death since August. Health officials say there are 3 new COVID-19 cases from over the weekend, bringing the total to 869 with 694 of those cases linked to SUNY Oneonta and 16 to Hartwick College.

There are currently 19 active cases in the county with one person hospitalized.
