Delaware County has had a couple of free Dairy Days to distribute dairy products to residents and now Otsego County residents are getting their turn. The Gilbertsville-Mount Upton Central School District will play host to a free dairy products distribution event for county residents this Wednesday, May 13 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The school is located at 693 State Highway 51, just outside of Gilbertsville, NY.

Those who wish to participate will stay in their vehicles and just drive-thru to receive free gallons of milk, yogurt, cheese, ice cream and eggs, while supplies last. This is all made possible by Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), a national cooperative owned by dairy farm families across the U.S., Dean Foods, the American Dairy Association North East, Chobani, Cabot, Hershey’s and Huff.

The event is also co-sponsored by CoBar Dairy LLC, Community Bank, GMUTA, Hannaford, Carlo Masi, Preferred Mutual, Sidney Federal Credit Union, Southtown Dairy LLC, Susquehanna Signs, Upstate Companies and Otsego County Dairy Princess, Hannah Bonczkowski.

According to the Gilbertsville Mt. Upton School District, all free products are donations from local dairy farmers and dairy processors to help support families in our county.
