Otsego County is now providing jail-based Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Transitional Services for inmates according to a press release from the Otsego County Sheriff's Office.

The county was awarded $60,000.00 from the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services to provide screening, education, treatment and community reentry services at the Otsego County Correctional Facility.

Sheriff Richard Devlin says providing services during incarceration offers an opportunity to engage inmates in utilizing recovery support services post release. The program began six weeks ago.
