Otsego County Approves Hiring More Contact Tracers

According to AllOTSEGO, The Otsego County Department of Health is getting some relief to the overload of coronavirus case work. At a meeting yesterday, Otsego County Board meeting, a unanimous decision was reached by the board to give Heidi Bond, Public Health Director the ability to hire help in the form of three LPNs or three health workers, or a combination of the two since contact tracers for the county have been overwhelmed with the caseload. Bond told the board last week that employees were working overtime and on weekends to try to keep up with the contact tracing required with daily rising numbers.
