Oneonta Vet Office Seeing Many Dogs With Lyme Disease
Yesterday, we took our dog Beethoven (Tovey) to the Community Vet Center in Oneonta for a checkup. She was tested for Lyme Diseasewhich has become a serious problem in recent years and thankfully is disease free! It turns out, there are an alarming number of dogs in their office testing positive for Lyme Disease. They had a sign in their office which revealed that last month, 1 out of every 4 dogs tested, was positive for Lyme Disease!
What can you do to prevent your dog from getting this deadly disease? There are certainly different options available. For our dog we have given her a Lyme Disease prevention shot, and she wears a special collar that keeps ticks away. It's best to talk to your Veterinarian about the best options for your dog.
