If you're not in the holiday spirit yet, we've got just the cure: The Oneonta Tree Lighting Ceremony, this Thursday, December 5th from 5pm to 8pm in Downtown Oneonta.  This Main Street Oneonta event is FREE and features Fokine Nutcracker dancers in shop windows, horse drawn wagon rides, visits with Santa, the gingerbread house contest entries on display in shop windows, the tree lighting at 6pm, and live music with great local singers from 5:30 to 7:30: Jeff Wood, Mary Frances, Thomas Pondolfino, Frank Joseph, Judy Pitel, Terri Whitney, Janetta Montuori, Shelly R Ashley, Melanie Saunders and Jillian LaHood.  New this year, Noah Trong will provide for the hearing impaired.

I have long enjoyed this event with my family and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy the spirit of the holidays!
