The City of Oneonta has announced the temporary closure this week (to vehicles only) of Neahwa Park's James Georgeson Avenue.  Pedestrians and those on bicycles may still enter there but all vehicles will be detoured to the Main Street entrance into the park.

The purpose of the closure is an experiment with traffic flow in and out of the park.  City officials are considering improvements to the James Georgeson entrance and the possibility of making it an entrance for pedestrians, bicyclists, and emergency vehicles only.  That entrance will reopen on Monday, July 29th.
