Oneonta Man Arrested For Multiple Order of Protection Violations
According to the Delaware County Sheriff's Office, an Oneonta man has been arrested following multiple reports of violating an order of protection. On February 17th, Sheriff’s Deputies took into custody 48-year-old Steven B. Burnside of Oneonta, on twenty counts of Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree and two counts of Harassment in the Second Degree related to an ongoing domestic dispute in the Town of Kortright.
Burnside intentionally and repeatedly violated a local criminal court order of protection by contacting a protected party twenty different times. Burnside was arraigned at the Town of Kortright Court and was remanded to the Delaware County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 in secure bond.
