Oneonta Library Offering ‘Downton Abbey Afternoon Tea’

The Huntington Memorial Library has come up with a very fun event for tea lovers that normally would be expensive to participate in, but in the library's case, it's free!  Huntington Memorial Library is excited about the upcoming "Downton Abbey" movie coming to the Oneonta Southside Mall Cinemas on September 12th and they want to celebrate with an Afternoon Tea on Saturday September 14th at 1:30pm.

There will be several fun activities at the tea including a short talk about the history of afternoon tea, along with proper etiquette and "Downton Abbey" fans can watch the series finale to get caught up before seeing the movie and of course there will be tea to enjoy along with sweet and savory delights.  You'll want to dress for the occasion in your favorite 20s apparel, plus take advantage of a photo booth to capture the magic.  Props have been donated by the Underground Attic to create the perfect scene.  The library will also be raffling off a teapot and two tickets to see "Downton Abbey".
