This Saturday Main Street will come alive as the Snommegang Invitational Beer Festival moves in to brighten up downtown Oneonta.  From 9am – 1pm, the Oneonta Farmers’ Market, in the Main Street Garage Walkway, will serve as the un-official opening act, featuring free samplings by Mulligan Creek Acres, live music with bluesman, John Gillespie, and guest vendor, Underground Attic.

Main Street will be closed to traffic from 9am on, so Farmers’ Market customers are encouraged to park on the top floor of the city parking garage for easy access to the market’s indoor location in the Main Street Garage Walkway.

Visit the Mulligan Creek Acres table for steaming hot samples of their Maple Berkshire Sirloin.  Guest vendor, Underground Attic, will be in attendance, showcasing their delightful hand-crafted earrings and dream catchers made from recycled vintage materials, plus handcrafted wood cutting boards.  You’re So Sweet, will offer tasty homebaked goods, including hot cross buns, breads, scones, cookies, granola and more. It is not too late to join the You’re So Sweet bread share!

Live acoustic blues with John Gillespie is from 10am – 12 noon.  Gillespie, a veteran of the Northwest blues festival circuit, entertains the crowd with irresistible renditions of acoustic blues classics in the tradition of Son House, Sonny Boy Williamson and Lightning Hopkins.

The Oneonta Farmers’ Market is held in the Main Street Garage Walkway, two doors down from Latte Lounge every single Saturday throughout the winter.  Hours are 9am – 1pm, rain, snow or shine.  For more information call 607-437-0158.
