Oneonta “Covid Control Room” Holds First Meeting

The City of Oneonta Control Group held its first meeting on Tuesday. Mayor Gary Herzig formed the team in response to the COVID-19 outbreak at SUNY Oneonta College president Barbara Jean Morris said to prepare for a “ramp-up” of positive tests. Morris said the outbreak resulted from a party held by 3 athletic teams who invited freshmen to attend. Mayor Gary Herzig encourages all Oneonta residents to get tested at the sites opening today.  They are at Foothills Performing Arts Center, the Oneonta Armory (Academy Street) and St. James Church (Main and Elm Streets).
