Last night at the Oneonta Common Council meeting, two measures were approved as a result of the coronavirus outbreak reaching Oneonta according to AllOTSEGO.  Mayor Gary Herzig confirmed that as of last night, there were three cases of coronavirus in Oneonta.

One response measure is a partnership with Hartwick College to use dorm space for quarantining first responders who have contracted COVID-19. The other measure allocated up to $20,000 to pay for coronavirus treatment supplies such as masks and gowns. The money is being transferred from other departments and is available through the end of June.
