Oneonta City Clerk Is Retiring
After five years on the job as Oneonta's City Clerk, Nancy Powell is retiring according to AllOTSEGO. Deputy Clerk Kerriann Harrington is expected to be appointed by vote to fill the position during the Common Council meeting today. Powell joined the city as its first woman firefighter and served in the clerk’s office for the last five years. Along the way, she even served as the Oneonta Airport Manager.
Once voted on by Council, Harrington will assume the clerk’s position on Dec. 26.
