At the beginning of the pandemic people were eager to get vaccination shots that were not readily available in our area.  In fact, people were driving as far as Binghamton, Utica and even Albany to get vaccinated.  All of that has changed now.

In an effort to make as many coronavirus vaccinations available to as many people as possible, two new vaccination opportunities in our area have been announced recently.

In Delaware County, Johnson & Johnson vaccinations will be available at the Delhi Farmers Market every Wednesday from noon to 2:00 p.m. for as long as the market is open this season.  The shots will be administered by nurses from the Delaware County Public Health Department and will be administered outside of their offices at 99 Main St., Delhi in a curbside configuration.  All individuals 18 years of age and older that reside in the United States are eligible to be vaccinated.

In Otsego County, Bassett Healthcare Network’s FoxCare Pharmacy in Oneonta is now offering Johnson & Johnson single-shot COVID-19 vaccines for people 18 and older every Tuesday through Friday by appointment. Proof of eligibility in the form of an ID is required at all vaccination clinics that includes your date of birth. Learn more about this clinic by logging on to bassett.org/covid-19 or call 607-431-5959 for assistance or more information.
We welcome the addition of these two locations for the administrating of the J&J coronavirus vaccination shots.   Remember, the J&J shots are a single dose, with no need to schedule a second return appointment. Get vaccinated and stop the spread of COVID-19!
