Oneida Indian Nation Donates $10,000 to Cooperstown

The Oneida Indian Nation presented a check for $10,000 to Cooperstown school leaders last night.

The Oneida Indian Nation announced earlier this year that it would help the district purchase new uniforms for its athletic teams after the students voted to do away with the school's old nickname, Redskins.

Cooperstown's new Hawkeye mascot will officially be adopted July 1.
