I don't know where it came from, but this turned up in a box in my daughter's room recently.  Do you recognize it? It's a View-Master Stereoscope which shows pictures in 3D.

Every kid I knew had one of these when I was growing up in the early 70's.  They were fascinating then and even more so now.  This one that I found had several "reels" containing seven 3D images each.  Scenes ranged from water skiing and ocean wonders to some travel reels featuring Cypress Gardens, FL and Martha's Vineyard Island.

It was very fun looking through these!  There's only one problem though and I remember this as a kid when I had one: after you've seen a reel, there's no need to view it again.  It's cool to see it once and then the thrill is gone.
