Friends of the Feral-TNR is excited to once again take part in the Oneonta Lion’s Club annual Oktoberfest, "Hops for Sight" fundraiser, happening at Deer Haven Campground on Deer Haven Lane in West End, Oneonta. The event will be on Saturday, September 21st, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The event lists activities such as games, giveaways, live music, food and more.

Gina Colone will be hosting our Medical Fund BBQ Raffle to help cover the high veterinary costs for treating sick or injured feral cats. One such case cost over $6,000 to save the life of a feral kitten with multiple infections, a bill generously covered out-of-pocket by one of our 800+ dedicated ‘cat-loving’ members, a community that has grown by over 200 members since this summer. Veterinary expenses continue to be a significant financial challenge for us.

Co-founder Traci Dilello shared, “We’ve TNR’d (trap-neuter-returned) over 120 cats so far this year.” The demand for our services has been so overwhelming that we’ve scheduled not one, but two trips in October to the Animal Care Sanctuary in Milan, Pennsylvania, for spay/neuter procedures, as they can only accommodate 30 cats per visit. Two veterinary surgeons will work on 30 cats over the course of about eight hours during each trip.

Additionally, we are excited to announce that our own website is currently in development and will be live soon.
