2019 is a record year for attendance at New York’s state campgrounds. Officials that through Columbus Day there were just over 680,000 overnight stays, surpassing the previous 2018 record of nearly 664,000. Total reservations so far this year are surpassing a record set in 2016. Late season camping remains available at selected campgrounds through the end of November. Reservations are accepted for campsites and cabins, from one day to nine months in advance of the planned arrival date.
