NY State Tax Revenues Rise But Still Short Of Projections

New York state’s chief tax collector says the money coming into the state from taxes is up by 7.6% through October compared to last year.

The downside is that total receipts to Albany are nearly $134 million short of budget projections. Fuller report here.

State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli says the state will have to keep track of revenue growth as well as spending for the rest if the fiscal year which ends March 31st.

DiNapoli also reported that revenue growth is strong, but slowing down.
