As the devastation from Hurricane Sandy continues to unfold, the need for fresh food is a priority for the thousands of victims directly impacted by the massive storm.

Relief efforts are unfolding, and New York Farm Bureau members who are able to donate are encouraged to do so.

New York Farm Bureau is in touch with City Harvest in New York City, which is helping coordinate relief activities. New York Farm Bureau is being told food is badly needed and any help would be greatly appreciated.

However, because of the logistical challenges, large donations are being handled on a case-by-case basis.

For information on how to donate, please contact Kyle Clifford, City Harvest food sourcing senior manager, at (646) 282-6213 or by email at kclifford@cityharvest.org.
