New York is the fourth-easiest state in the country to get a driver license. That’s the result of a study done by a Utah personal-injury law firm who researched each state’s driving exam requirements as well as data like the cost of licensing, if the state offers free retakes and whether a learner’s permit must be acquired for applicants who under the age of 18. The easiest state to get a license is South Dakota and the hardest state is Washington.
