New Lisbon Man Charged With Animal Cruelty
The Otsego County Sheriff's Office is reporting an animal cruelty case in the Town of New Lisbon. According to Sheriff Richard J. Devlin, Jr., 54-year-old Christopher M. D’Amato of New Lisbon was charged with Overdriving, torturing and injuring animals and failure to provide proper sustenance after dead sheep and alpacas were found on his property. There were other animals found to be neglected.
According to AllOtsego, D'Amato had been suffering from health issues that prevented him from caring for his animals. D'Amato was released by police on an appearance ticket.
