May 6 Update on COVID-19 Cases in Chenango, Delaware, and Otsego Counties
We continue to keep you updated on confirmed cases in our tri-county region of Central New York. As of yesterday afternoon, there were no new cases reported. According to The New York State COVID-19 Tracker, the total number of cases is holding at 100 in Chenango County. Delaware County Public Health is reporting 73 confirmed coronavirus cases where 3 have been transferred to their county of residence and in Otsego County, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is holding at 62.
According to the NYS Department of Health, there are currently 321,192 cases of confirmed COVID-19 in the state with 2239 new cases confirmed statewide yesterday.
Please note that the number of confirmed cases does not reflect the actual number of cases because of limited testing for the virus.
