May 4 Update on COVID-19 Cases in Our Local Area

We continue to keep you updated on confirmed cases in our tri-county region of Central New York. As of yesterday afternoon, according to The New York State COVID-19 Tracker, the total number of cases rose to 99 in Chenango County. Delaware County Public Health is reporting 73 confirmed coronavirus cases and in Otsego County the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is holding at 67, not all of which are Otsego County residents.

According to the NYS Department of Health, there are currently 316,415 cases of confirmed COVID-19 in the state with 3438 new cases confirmed statewide yesterday.

Please note that the number of confirmed cases does not reflect the actual number of cases because of limited testing for the virus.
